Meet Deborah G

I wasn’t born into success. I was born into a 16-foot Aristocrat trailer with my family of five. No bedrooms. No closets. The fridge lived outside. And let’s just say, thank goodness the community swimming pool was nearby because we didn’t have a bathroom inside. Yes, I peed in the pool. Don’t judge, you know you’ve done it too!

While most kids were riding bikes or hanging out at the mall, I was dodging bullies for being the “trailer park girl,” training like crazy for a shot at the Olympics (only to have my dream crushed by the 1980 boycott), and later breaking into sports broadcasting at a time when women weren’t exactly welcome reading football scores.

Add to that, missing promotion after promotion in corporate America because the ceiling was made of something tougher than glass.

At one point, I stared into the water, my old familiar pool, and thought, Why am I here? And then it hit me. That reflection staring back wasn’t asking me to quit. It was daring me to go bigger. To stop waiting for “someday.” To realize you only breathe once, so take your shot, get off the block, and GO.

Today, I’ve built three successful businesses, tested my limits as a pro athlete, and spent decades leading, competing, and coaching others to own their lane in business and in life.

And that’s why I’m here. To help leaders like you stop treading water and start swimming with power, purpose, and yes, ambition.
